Adjunct therapy

PEMF Therapy

Pulse Energy Magnetic Frequency, a gentle, no-needle therapy offered alongside chiropractic care to support recovery.

PEMF, short for Pulse Energy Magnetic Frequency, sends low-level, pulsed electromagnetic fields through the body using a mat or a focused applicator. A session is completely passive. You sit or lie down while the device runs, and most people feel little more than a faint pulsing, if they feel anything at all. There are no needles, no heat, and no downtime afterward.

The idea behind it is to support the body’s own recovery processes. In a chiropractic setting, PEMF is commonly used as an adjunct, layered alongside adjustments and other therapies to support comfort and recovery in the areas being worked on. It is not a standalone fix and it does not replace hands-on care. It is one more tool that can be added when it fits the plan.

Whether PEMF belongs in your care depends on what your exam shows. If Dr. DeCloedt recommends it, he will explain what it is meant to support and how it works alongside the rest of your plan, so you always understand why it is part of a visit before it is.

What to expect

How it works here

Completely passive

You rest while the mat or applicator does the work. Most people feel only a faint pulse, and many feel nothing at all.

A few minutes, no downtime

Sessions are short and layered into a visit. There is no recovery time, so you head out and carry on with your day.

Targeted and explained

It is focused on the area your care is centered on, and you will hear what it is meant to support before it is part of your plan.
