Chiropractic Adjustments

The heart of what we do. Gentle, precise adjustments tailored to your body and how it responds, not a one-size protocol.

A chiropractic adjustment is a controlled, specific input to a joint that is not moving the way it should. Dr. DeCloedt uses both hands-on manual techniques and tool-assisted instruments, and he chooses the approach based on what your exam shows and what you are comfortable with.

Some people picture a single dramatic movement. In practice, the work is measured and individualized. For patients who prefer a lighter touch, or whose situation calls for it, there are low-force and instrument-assisted options that do not involve the traditional hands-on movement at all. You are never pushed into a style that does not feel right for you.

The goal is the same either way: to help your spine and joints move the way they are meant to, so your body can do what it is built to do. Adjustments are usually the foundation of a plan, with other therapies layered around them when they add something. Whether and how often you are adjusted is decided with you, after your exam.

What to expect

How it works here

An exam first

Care starts with an evaluation. Dr. DeCloedt looks at how you move and where things are restricted before recommending anything.

Techniques matched to you

Manual adjustments, tool-assisted methods, and gentler approaches for those who prefer them. You are never forced into one style.

A plan, not a sales pitch

If care makes sense, you will hear a clear plan and the reasoning behind it. If it does not, he will tell you that too.

Is it right for you?

That is what the exam is for

People come in for low back pain, neck pain, headaches, and stiffness, among other concerns. What is right for you is determined during your exam.

This page is general education, not medical advice. Dr. DeCloedt determines what is appropriate for you individually after an evaluation.
